Want to Know Christ?

Since the beginning of recorded history we have been worshiping, or at least seeking something to complete us. The bible says in Romans 1:20  For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. We can see God in creation, we can feel His presence, and sense the void in our hearts and not recognize that it is Him in our life that is missing.

Today we possess a Book that contains the answer to all of the spiritual questions. The Bible, or the Word is ours to read, study, and contemplate. It reveals to us the one thing that can complete our humanity, Jesus. (John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God,)

God understanding our weakness had a plan. He sent His Son to redeem us. To pay the penalty for our sin, transgressions, or the things we do daily that do not honor Him.

He was born of a virgin. (Matthew  1:23 Behold a virgin shall be with child)

He bore our punishment.  (Isaiah 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.)

He died on a cross. (John 19:17 And He, bearing His cross went out to a place called The Place of the Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha , 18 where they crucified Him,)

He was resurrected. (Mark 16:6 But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified . He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.)

He was seen by witnesses. (1Corinthians 15:5 and He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over 500 brethren at once,)

The Bible was written and preserved for this reason. (John 20:3 but these things were written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.)

Will you believe? If so just tell Him that you do maybe something like this.

Lord, I know that I’m a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus shed His precious blood and died in my place for my sin. I am willing to turn from my sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior.  Amen
